Numeric field (Cross Table Wizard - Step 3)
Column or Row
If you move a numeric field in the Cross Table Wizard Step 3 to the columns or rows location, you can then, if necessary, make a double click on that field to display the Group Field dialog box:
The Group Field will apply to the entire value.
Note the <Delete> button that can be used to remove the field in the Column or Row areas. You can also press the <Del> key to remove a field in these areas.
Data
If you move a numeric field in the Cross Table Wizard Step 3 to the data location, a Sum function is applied by default to that numeric field. You can then, if necessary, make a double click on that field to display the Group Field dialog box and modify the function to another:
For a numeric field the following functions can be applied:
The Sum value for that field: the total of the values cumulated.
The Minimum value for that field: the smallest value.
The Maximum value for that field: the biggest value.
The Variance value for that field.
The Population Variance value for that field.
The Standard Deviation value for that field.
The Population Standard Deviation value for that field.
The CountVal value for that field: the number of not null occurrence for the field.
The Count(*) value for that field: the total number of occurrence for the field, including null values.
Note the <Delete> button that can be used to remove the field in the Data area. You can also press the <Del> key to remove a field in this area.
