Parent Data Link
That property allows specifying the parent data link to be used to edit a Graph, a Sub-Report, a Text/Query, a Cross-Table or a Cube in a report.
New Feature in version 4.10: please note that if the graph is fed by data from the current report then the parent and child fields will not be used.
Use that button to display the available field names corresponding to
the query on which the Report is based, specified in the Data Source property for the Report.
Use that button to open the Field link editor
Note for a Graph: The Parent Data Link property uses one of the Report field names or one of the Cross-Table field names that will be linked with one of the Graph field names, defined in the Child Data Link property for the current graph.
Note for a Text/Query: The Parent Data Link property uses one of the Report field names that will be linked with one of the Query field names, defined in the Child Data Link property for the current Text/Query object.
Note for a Sub-Report: The Parent Data Link property uses one of the Report field names that will be linked with one of the Sub-Report field names, defined in the Child Data Link property for the current Sub-Report.
Note for a Cross-Table: The Parent Data Link property uses one of the Report field names that will be linked with one of the Cross Table field names, defined in the Child Data Link property for the current Cross Table.
Note for Cubes: The Parent Fields property uses one of the reports field names which will be linked to the name of the cube field defined in the current cubes Child Field property.
