Hide Detail command (Layout menu)

Once you got the result in a Cross Table worksheet, you can sometimes wish to hide one or several detailed information in a sub level.

To do so, select first the level whose detail must be hidden and click on the command <Layout> <Hide Detail> or on the corresponding icon on the Cross Table toolbar.

The selected level can be all the columns or all the rows or only one or several columns or one or several rows.

Example: in the following example all details are displayed for that cross table having 2 levels in rows (Family and Product names) and 2 levels in columns (area and year) and displaying the quantity sold.

The same rule can be applied to the rows, but in that case you will click on the arrow above the Family level, on the top side of the cross table, if you want to select all the rows ADULT and CHILDREN in the above example, then click on the Hide Detail icon or on the command <Layout> <Hide detail> to get no detail for each product.

Tips : you can also make a double click on a specific level, for example ADULT or CHILDREN or NORTH to hide detail for the concerned level only.

On the previous example, the Hide Detail command has been applied to the row ADULT and to the columns EAST and SOUTH, giving that result:
